The Level 3 Paralegal Diploma is a nationally recognised qualification for those looking to become a paralegal and those with some paralegal experience who are looking to progress their career in the legal sector. Accredited by Ofqual you’ll receive the highest standard of training that combines the academic and practical skills required to work within the legal sector. Delivered in conjunction with The National Association of Licensed Paralegals (NALP), the Level 3 Paralegal Diploma is made up of 7 units, including 3 the 3 Mandatory Units detailed below: • Unit 30 - Introduction to Law for Paralegals • Unit 31 - Legal Ethics and Responsibilities for Paralegals • Professional Skills Collection for Paralegals
Learners must also select 4 of the following Technical Legal Knowledge Units: • Unit 32 – Wills & Succession • Unit 33 - Civil Litigation • Unit 34 – Criminal Litigation • Unit 36 – Conveyancing • Unit 37 - Employment
With the exception of the Professional Skills Collection for Paralegals, the other 6 Units will be assessed by NALP; once learners have reviewed the NALP workbook for each unit and the supporting webinars and materials provided by Datalaw, learners will be supplied with the written assignment for that Unit. Learners will have a period of 4-weeks to complete each assignment.
During the course of the Level 3 Paralegal Diploma, learners will receive a telephone call each month from one of our trainers; the purpose of this call is to provide learners with support and guidance and to create a portfolio evidence of the learner’s development throughout the diploma.
This unit is very detailed. The workbook is very detailed with interesting cases. The lectures and slides help in understanding the topics. It would have been very hard going without the lectures and slides. I found that watching the lectures and returning to the workbook is the best way to study this unit.
