Course Overview

All employers should strive to provide a workplace in which employees are given the dignity and respect to which they are entitled. In turn, employees are expected to adhere to a standard of professional behaviour. This may well be a condition of employment and those who violate the firm’s code of conduct may be subject to disciplinary action.

This session will encourage managers and business owners to reflect upon how standards of behaviour in the workforce are currently managed, whether it is really necessary to specify what standards of professional behaviour are expected and the potential consequences if standards of behaviour in the workplace are not met.

Consideration will also be given to:

  • the policies and procedures your firm has in place to prevent or resolve unacceptable behaviour
  • what systems you have in place to enable and encourage managers to deal with unacceptable behaviour
  • tactics which can be used to deal with poor behaviour
  • relevant ACAS guidance
