Course Overview

In recent years health and safety law has become an increasingly highlighted issue.  This often complex area is frequently questioned and criticised, however with over 27 million working days lost between 2012-2013 due to work related illnesses and injury it will continue to be an area of focus.

It is vital that legal professionals are aware of the current issues in health and safety law to ensure they can protect clients exposed to liability. This course will provide viewers with an introduction into health and safety law from both criminal and civil law perspectives and will offer an in-depth examination of the relevant Acts which practitioners must be aware of and the duties required under this legislation. The way in which health and safety law can be enforced will also be considered.
