In 2015/16, 30.4 million working days were lost due to self-reported work-related illness or injury. Given the scale of the issue, legal practitioners and HR professionals must understand health and safety law if they are to be able to protect clients exposed to liability.
The ‘Health and Safety: An Overview’ will provide viewers with an introduction into health and safety law from both criminal and civil law perspectives. The way in which health and safety law can be enforced will also be considered.
‘Health and Safety: Examining the Regulations in more Detail’ will provide viewers with an in-depth examination of key health and safety legislation including the 'six pack', RIDDOR and COSHH and will assist those who would like to develop their knowledge of health and safety law and the regulations which govern this field of practice.
Both courses are delivered by experienced lecturer and former HR professional Kathy Daniels, and will consider the issues associated with stress, and the management of stress at work, which are often of concern to those who practice in health and safety law.
