Qualified 1976. Offered partnership by the firm that trained me but decided to return to Cornwall where I had spent my teenage years. Joined firm who offered me a partnership at the end of my first year (1981). In 1999 joined Coodes. Became an equity parter in May 2000. Was on managing team under two senior partners with special responsibility for financial management. Resigned from business ownership in 2018 when my late husband was terminally ill but continued as an equity partner until late 2020. I continued with my training and kept my practicing certificate and set up as a freelance solicitor dealing with marriage breakdown and financial applications, and private children matters following my husband's death. As a freelance solicitor I cannot hold client's money, nor employ staff.
