Instructor
Connor teaches contract law, land law, property practice, legal and professional skills and business law across our suite of SQE and CILEX Legacy and CPQ courses.Connor is a Senior Fellow (SFHEA) of Advance HE (formerly the Higher Education Academy). At present, he is a Head of Department at the Cardiff University International Study Centre, and he previously taught at Swansea University. He is currently designing a course to help teachers enhance their learning and teaching practices, particularly with non-native English-speaking learners, in higher education and which will ultimately lead participants to achieve Fellowship (FHEA) of Advance HE. As a teacher, Connor’s main strengths are his abilities to explain complex ideas in relatively accessible ways, adapt his delivery according to the context of his learners, and deploy strategies for error correction.
Previously, Connor practised in the property departments of two law firms. Before leaving legal practice, he delivered training to solicitors, conveyancers and paralegals in conveyancing matters, including his own approved/accredited training programme.
Connor is particularly passionate about helping those who are in the early stages of their journeys, and those who have not followed the traditional route into law.
