Course Overview

The Trade Union Act 2016 has now received royal assent. The Act makes some significant differences to the balloting process for industrial action, and also has other impacts on the way that industrial action is announced to the employer, and the way that picketing is managed.

  • Watch 20 minute recorded webinar, including reference notes, discussion questions and optional evaluation form to test your legal knowledge
  • This course provides 0.5 – 1 CPD point (depending on length of time spent considering the discussion questions and completing the evaluation form)

About Instructor - Kathy Daniels

Kathy is a Teaching Fellow at Aston University, lecturing in employment law and employee relations. After a career in HR, in the manufacturing sector, she now writes extensively on HR related topics, and specifically on employment law. Kathy has written an employment law textbook which is currently in its third edition, and also writes a broad range of materials for organisations such as the CIPD. In addition, she is a Lay Member of the Employment Tribunal, sitting in Birmingham.
