Course Overview

The Limitation Act 1980 defines the period of time for which an individual can bring a claim. Failure to meet the correct limitation period as prescribed within this act can be a key factor for clients when considering a negligence claim, so if practitioners are to avoid such claims a thorough knowledge of the various limitation rules and periods is crucial.

This course is aimed at solicitors who have a basic understanding of limitation periods and who would like to familiarise themselves with the practices and procedures involved in this area of law in order to use limitation to their advantage. This course will also provide paralegals, legal executives and trainee solicitors with a useful introduction to limitation periods and how this can impact upon the claimant’s case.
