Ideal for those new to the area of civil litigation or for practitioners seeking some pointers on how to handle without prejudice discussions more effectively in practice, this course will firstly outline what the without prejudice rule is and its key aspects.
During this session barrister and experienced lecturer Alastair Hodge will impart details of some of the lessons which he has learnt over a 20-year plus career and will offer guidance, not only in terms of the pitfalls which without prejudice discussions can present, but on how to navigate such minefields effectively.
This session will discuss when the without prejudice rule applies, plus the extent, waivers and exceptions to the rule.
Viewers will also receive guidance on the issues to be aware of in respect of labelling, particularly when handling without prejudice except as to costs cases.
