How to Prepare a Police Station Portfolio Webinar
Preparation is everything, yet a surprising number of candidates, no doubt eager to obtain their probationary PIN number, rush the Portfolio assessment and begin writing up their cases without proper consideration of the guidance available. These candidates are significantly more likely to fail the assessment than those who gather the necessary legal and practical resources which they will require before commencing the Portfolio.
The key purpose of this webinar is to assist candidates understand what the Assessment Board are looking for when marking the Portfolio, so that you can write up your cases accordingly. Building on the guidance provided on registration, this session will break-down what headings you should use when writing up a case study, what information needs to be included within each section and the level of detail required.
Remember, the Assessment Board cannot assume anything! Stating that ‘I advised my client regarding the options available’ is not sufficient. What did you say and why? How do you know the client understood?  Â
In addition, this webinar will offer practical guidance in respect of the technical requirements of the Portfolio including case selection, the age and chronology of your cases, which forms must be included within your submission etc.

The course includes several sample Portfolios for you to review while putting your own submission together.
