How to Pass the Written Exam
In the words of lecturer James Parry, in order to pass this
assessment candidates must “start early and prepare well.” Whilst this may seem
straight forwards, lack of preparation and uncertainty regarding what to expect
can cause candidates to stumble at the first hurdle of the PSRAS.
This is a practical session; James will provide advice
regarding how to structure your time during the assessment, the correct exam
technique to use and the key resources required to ensure success.
The majority of this session will revolve around the
dissection of a sample paper; James will offer an insight into what the
questions are actually asking, the key indicators which you can use to
determine this information and the level of detail expected by the Assessment
Board.
Detailed notes accompany the recorded webinar and include a
copy of the sample paper discussed above, along with commentary and model
answers.
Sample Paper
The course also includes a separate sample question paper
and marking matrix. We recommend that you use the sample as a mock assessment
and attempt the paper under exam conditions in order to accurately assess your
exam technique and knowledge, prior to taking the exam.
