Course Overview

This 20-minute webinar will offer a practical discussion of the methods of drafting divorce documentation; consideration will be given to how to complete the divorce application in place since August 2017. Lecturer Safda Mahmood will alert viewers to the key aspects of this application form and will provide guidance on how to avoid potential pitfalls.

Safda will also examine the move to online divorce, with reference to Practice Direction 36L – Pilot Scheme: Procedure for Using an Online System to Complete Certain Stages of Certain Proceedings for a Matrimonial Order which came into force on 27th May 2019.

Safda is a senior solicitor, with a public authority, having had practiced in both Private Practice and Local Government. Safda is on the Law Society Children Panel and specialises in Children Law and Adoption. He delivers training across the country and writes regularly for various journals including Family Law Journal, Legal Executives Journal and Law Society Bulletin.
